Chain Of Arts: My Mavic Mini Review

As promised, I thought I’d give a little two cents on my Mavic Mini– which I am so incredibly excited for.
If you check out my previous post which you can find here New Purchase: Mavic Mini Drone, I share a little snippet of what I caught when I took her out for the first time. The Mavic Mini is so amazing in regards to what it is capable of in consideration of its’ compact size.

Here are some photos to give you an ideas of what the purchase includes, which are pictured below:

For the price of about $437, all items were included above.
I purchased my Mavic Mini directly from DJI and shipping was fairly fast and easy.
One thing I was must say is that I regret not purchasing the combo pack which includes extra battery and a hub charger, which I found would’ve been extra useful. For the combo pack, it would be an additional $100. Not too bad if I should say so myself. Other than that, if you are eager and simply looking for the device itself, everything you need is included in it’s original package– which is what I was looking for at the time haha.
It took about 4 days in total for package to arrive.
Below are a few up close photos of what was included in my box.

The great thing about purchasing the Mavic Mini is that its weight lies a little under 250g, 249g to be exact.
For those who are new to the drone world, as am I, this is extremely convenient because you are not required to register your done under the FAA, or the Federal Aviation Administration. Anything above 250g would need to be registered under FAA regulation. This makes it a bit easier to find areas to fly your done and bypass strict regulations of FAA without much of a hassle.
BUT of course, however, you do still need to take caution as any damages caused by the drone under hands (whether to human or property damage) is a liability for you as a drone flyer. So while the drone can bring so much joy, please be careful out there when operating!

Now for the technical and mechanics of the drone, I chose this drone because it is capable of flying about 4Kilo wide (2K miles wide) and about 600 ft high– which is actually pretty amazing for its size in comparison to other regular size drones. It has a 2.7k resolution which is astonishing for a drone much smaller than the average as well. It’s battery life also surpasses that of the average drones, which is 30 minutes. The typical battery life for other regular sized drones is about 15-20 min. It’s high resolution also allows you to take high quality photography and videos. Another thing to note is, the Mavic Mini has a return to home setting that allows your drone to fly back to you automatically when requested or when the drone senses that it is at low battery. I find it is fairly easy to operate once you get to know and familiarize yourself with its settings. The only thing I wish more of the drone was for it to have an active track/ follow you feature that allows the drone to follow you without any control of the device. I feel it is a bummer if you were looking to use the device for vlogs and such. Other than that, I have not experimented my drone long enough to list out its cons just yet, but would say I am pretty content with its performance so far.

With that being said, I hope this aids you in your own decision of purchasing the drone or resorting to another that may meets your needs much better. But for what it is, I think the Mavic Mini is packed with great features that makes it hard to beat considering its more affordable pricing. As a first time drone owner, I have much to learn in terms of the technical aspect and how to incorporate my knowledge of that into the beautiful art of cinematography. If you are interested please feel free to check out the drone on the DJI site or find a slightly cheaper deal on Amazon. Be sure to use my Affiliate link! Free shipping included.

I am considering of filming/ recording a more closer review as I experiment with my drone. Be sure to follow it up on my Youtube Channel if uploaded!
This post is by no means sponsored but made to share my excitement with ya’ll on this game changing device Haha
