the sun shines bright, rays bound of my skin
always find myself lookin’ out, when I gotta look within
maybe the ocean is the reason I keep calling your name
a love this deep shouldn’t cause this much pain
I know this feeling, it’s all too familiar
if tears were money, you’d bet I was a millionaire
before you think you can save a damsel in distress
think again, to you I’m no less
this is an ode, to all the wrongs I wanted to right
thanks to you, you helped me to find a light
that had been burnin in the depths of my soul
I promise you this is the beginning, no lies told
